Fruity sweetness and vivacity

Unlike some overly sugary fruit beers, Brewferm's Raspberry Ale focuses on authentic aroma. The malt provides a rounded base that supports the tangy notes of the raspberry. On the palate, the lively carbonation accentuates the refreshing side. It is a social beer, highly appreciated on sunny days or as an accompaniment to light desserts.

  • Colour : Light amber with pink highlights.

  • Yeast : Top-fermenting yeast included.

This kit does NOT contain :

  • Technical equipment : Fermenting vessel, airlock, hydrometer, bottle capper.

  • Priming sugar (Fermentation) : 750g of sugar required (Dextrose advised to keep the fruit profile clean).

  • Bottling sugar : Approximately 7g per litre (~84g for 12L).

  • Consumables : Empty bottles, crown caps, sanitising products.

Tips Experts :

  • Choosing your sugar: To preserve the brilliance of the fruit, avoid standard table sugar. Dextrose allows for a drier body and lets the raspberry aromas take centre stage.

  • Fermentation temperature: Maintain a stable temperature between 20°C and 22°C. A fermentation that is too warm could alter the finesse of the fruity notes.

  • Tasting: Serve chilled (6-8°C) in a tulip glass to concentrate the red berry scents.

FAQ Flash :

  • Is it a very sweet beer? No, it is a fully fermented beer. The added sugar is consumed by the yeast to produce alcohol. The raspberry taste comes from the flavouring, but the finish remains that of a crisp beer.

  • Can I add real fruit? The kit is complete, but experienced brewers can add fresh or frozen (sanitised) raspberries during secondary fermentation for even more texture
