It’s often repeated: cleaning represents a huge part of a brewer’s work. But between alkaline detergent baths, acid rinses, and the use of very hot water to activate enzymes, your hands are constantly exposed to harsh conditions.

To handle your products with complete peace of mind and clean your vessels without risking burns or irritation, equipping yourself with proper protection is essential. Discover the must‑have safety accessory for your cleaning station: our Rolling Beers brewing gloves.

1. Total resistance to heat and boiling water

Brewery cleaning often requires high temperatures to be effective (around 50°C for Enzybrew 10, and much higher for caustic soda). With standard dishwashing gloves, heat instantly penetrates the plastic, making the task painful.

  • High thermal protection: Made with reinforced thickness and an insulating inner lining, our brewing gloves are designed to withstand temperatures up to 100°C.
  • Everyday safety: You can immerse your hands directly into your hot‑water vessel, handle your Camlock fittings or still‑hot valves, and scrub the inside of your automated kettles right after the boil without feeling any pain.

2. A waterproof shield against chemical corrosion

Whether you use strong alkaline products (like PBW or Chemipro Wash) or concentrated acidic solutions (like Chemipro San), repeated contact with skin destroys the hydrolipidic barrier of your hands, causing cracks and chemical irritation.

  • Anti‑corrosion barrier: The outer coating of our gloves offers excellent chemical inertia. It protects against the causticity of bases and the acidity of sanitizers.
  • Extra‑long cuff: Unlike standard protective gloves that stop at the wrist, ours extend high up the forearm (35 cm long). This allows you to submerge your arm deep into a soaking bucket or a large 30‑liter fermenter without corrosive liquid seeping in from above.

3. Ergonomics and grip: No more slipping equipment

Cleaning brewing equipment means handling smooth, wet objects often made slippery by wort or soap (glass hydrometers, test cylinders, airlocks).

  • Anti‑slip grip: The palm and fingers are textured to ensure a firm hold, even in fully soaked environments. The risk of breaking your glassware or dropping a stainless‑steel part into the bottom of the vessel is greatly reduced.
  • Work comfort: Despite their protective thickness, these gloves remain highly flexible, allowing you to easily handle small accessories, Tri‑Clamp fittings, or sealing gaskets.

Rolling Beers Team Tips

To extend the lifespan of your brewing gloves, treat them just like your equipment: after each cleaning session, rinse the outside of the gloves with clear water to remove chemical residues. Then let them air‑dry, hanging by the cuff in a dry place. Remember to check the size (available from M to XL) when ordering to work with maximum comfort and precision!
