A balance of body and power

This Wheat Tripel stands out with its golden hue and generous texture. The use of wheat softens the alcohol's punch, offering a velvety mouthfeel. The aromatic profile is marked by notes of ripe grain, white-fleshed fruits, and a subtle spicy touch typical of Abbey-style yeasts. Despite its high density, it maintains a pleasantly dry finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Tips Experts :

  • Fermentation Control : With a high starting gravity (1.075), ensure you maintain a stable temperature (20-22°C). Fermenting too warm could produce harsh fusel alcohols.

  • Patience in the Bottle : An 8% beer needs time. Let it mature for at least 6 to 8 weeks after bottling to allow the flavours to harmonise and the alcohol to mellow out.

  • Serving : Best enjoyed between 8°C and 10°C in a chalice or tulip glass to release the full complexity of the esters.

FAQ Flash :

  • Why only 9 litres? To reach 8% alcohol from a malt extract kit, the sugars are concentrated in a smaller volume to guarantee the necessary body and strength.

  • Is it a bitter beer? The bitterness is moderate, serving primarily to balance the malt richness and residual sweetness.
