Roasted complexity for lovers of the dark side
This kit uses a selection of heavily roasted specialty malts to achieve its impenetrable colour and complex aromatic profile. The original gravity of 1.070 guarantees a robust and silky mouthfeel. While reaching 7.5% ABV, it is the balance between hop bitterness and the sweetness of caramelized malts that defines its unique character.

Tips Experts :
-
Long Aging Recommended : Imperial Stout improves tremendously over time. Resting for 4 to 6 months in the bottle will allow the roasted notes to harmonize perfectly.
-
Sugar Choice : To enhance notes of caramel and molasses, use brown candi sugar or dark dried malt extract (DME) instead of table sugar.
-
Serving Temperature : Do not serve it too cold! Between 12 and 14°C is where the chocolate and dark fruit aromas express themselves best.
FAQ Flash :
-
Is it very bitter? The bitterness is pronounced to balance the malt richness, but it remains silky.
-
Why only 9 litres? To achieve this density and thickness on the palate, concentrating the extract in a small volume is essential.
-
Food Pairing : Exceptional with a dark chocolate dessert or a strong blue cheese.
