Polaris Pellets Hops

Polaris Hops:

Polaris is a unique high-alpha hop variety developed by the Hop Research Center in Hüll.

It stands out due to its exceptionally high concentrations of alpha acids and essential hop oils. This variety was approved in 2012 and introduced as a special aroma hop.

With an average alpha acid content of up to 20%, Polaris is particularly suited for bitterness and is therefore often added at the beginning of the boil.

However, its aromas are reminiscent of banana, mint, and pear drop candy. They are described as fresh and fruity. For this reason, many brewers also use it for late additions or dry hopping.
