Spalter Select Hop:
Spalter Select was developed by the Hop Research Center in Hüll. It was approved in 1993 as an aromatic variety.
Spalter Select is characterized by a spicy hop aroma and a high farnesene content. In Germany, it is considered a classic hop for lager beers.
Its aromatic profile is mainly composed of spicy notes, but it can also present fruity and floral touches.
Its alpha-to-beta acid ratio of 1 is ideal for maintaining a stable bitterness and hop profile in beer.
