Description
Roasted, biscuity, and refreshing, brew our Irish Extra Stout.
Even though the recipe was created with St Patrick’s Day in mind, it’s perfect all year round. This boldly flavored beer is extremely refreshing and makes it easy to go for another pint…
The idea is to have a fairly round and full-bodied attack, hence the use of a high percentage of barley flakes. In contrast to this slightly biscuity roundness, you’ll find a very dry and refreshing finish brought by the hop bitterness.
This dry and slightly bitter finish beautifully highlights the pronounced coffee flavors of the roasted barley.
This 5.6% beer is openly inspired by Guinness Original and features all the classic markers of the “Irish Extra Stout” style.

The pack includes the malt, hops, and yeasts required to make the recipe, for a 20‑liter batch.
Single‑step mash.
Due to the high percentage of barley flakes, you may add around one hundred grams of rice hulls (not included in this pack).
