Now that you know the story of Pierre Celis, let us tell you the legendary tale of Saint Arnoul !
In the 7th century, Arnoul, Bishop of Metz, was renowned for his great piety and his miracles. After his death, the faithful decided to bring his relics back to Metz from Remiremont. Along the way, under intense heat, the bearers of his coffin suffered terrible thirst but had nothing to drink. They prayed to Saint Arnoul for help. Miraculously, they found a source of fresh beer bubbling from the ground, allowing them to quench their thirst. This miracle strengthened the legend of Saint Arnoul, who has since become the patron saint of brewers.
Discover the superb aromas of raw wheat brought by wheat flakes. Combine them with the typical phenolic notes of white beers (banana, clove) from the yeast, and the floral and spicy notes of hops. A few coriander seeds, a bit of orange peel, and you'll have an authentic (and delicious) French Wit Beer.
