Description
The rye malt is a key ingredient to bring spicy malty complexity to your beers. It is particularly versatile and fits perfectly in saisons, stouts, or IPAs. This malt enhances beer with intense aromas of bread, pepper, biscuit, and spices, while contributing to a well-structured body and a beautiful golden hue (4-9 EBC).
Thanks to its good modification, this malt can be used up to 60% of a recipe (Beyond 20%, the use of rice hulls is recommended for filtration). Additionally, its protein content improves foam stability, making it a valuable asset for the appearance of beers. Furthermore, its specific kilning and protein levels help achieve a beautiful coppery color and a slight haze, adding character to your creations.
Finally, beyond beer, this malt also plays a role in the production of whiskies, thanks to its unique aromatic and technical properties.
