Description
Château Red Intense is a specialty malt that brings a vibrant red hue to ales and lagers while delivering exceptionally rich malt aromas and flavours, without the use of colouring agents.
Château Red Intense has sufficient diastatic power to be used up to 100% of the grist, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of beer styles.
It imparts intense malty flavours and a generous body, enhancing both mouthfeel and complexity. Its narrow and consistent colour range (34–38 EBC), along with its low turbidity, ensures a clear final beer with a beautiful reddish tint.
This malt is ideal for achieving a deep red colour without unbalancing the beer. When used on its own, the recommended initial gravity of the unboiled wort should be between 12°P and 16°P to obtain an intense red tone.
