Description
Black malt undergoes very intense roasting, which gives it a deep black color (1200 - 1400 EBC) and powerful coffee aromas. It also provides a rich texture and body to the beer.
It stands out for its robustness and its ability to intensify roasted flavors while enriching the color of your beer. It is perfect for creations where a strong roasted character is desired. When combined with other dark malts, it can further enhance the aromatic complexity of dark beers.
Recommended usage: up to 5%.
