For optimal use of your BlowTie kit — especially if you equip it with the digital gauge — we strongly recommend adding a short length of tubing or a buffer bottle (such as a “Gas Management” reservoir) between your fermenter’s gas outlet and the valve inlet. This physical safety distance prevents krausen or sticky liquid splashes from reaching the internal mechanism of the digital gauge, protecting its electronic components and preserving its accuracy over time!
