Description
The Nukatap filler was created to facilitate counter-pressure bottling. It has all the advantages of a traditional filler while being much smaller, convenient, and easy to use.
If you are bottling from your fermenter, you will need to get a 5/16" compensating ball lock connector. This connector has many advantages over other systems, but we find that for counter-pressure bottling, the knob is not very practical for cutting off or activating the beer flow. An on/off valve would be much more intuitive.
Unfortunately, we do not sell a valve connector adaptable to the Nukatap in 5/16". The only one we have is in 3/8", but fortunately, John Guest is our best friend and allows us to adapt perfectly with just an additional small connector.
While the size of the Nukatap makes it extremely convenient to use, our shut-off valve makes it even simpler.
With this pack, the Nukatap is functional for carrying out counter-pressure bottling without needing to acquire additional equipment.

Assembly and Specifics:
The Nukatap filler is supplied with its complete basic equipment (with 5/16" connectors equipped on the beer and gas inlets). To stay in 5/16" but adapt the faucet to 3/8", you will need to remove it from its box and unscrew the duotight connector that is in place by default on the beer inlet. It will need to be replaced with the John Guest 3/8" to 1/4" BSP straight adapter provided in our pack.
You will then need to cut 5cm from the meter of 3/8" John Guest tubing in the kit (do not confuse with the 3m of 5/16" tubing that you will use to connect the filler to your system). The small piece of tubing will be used to connect the straight adapter (screwed on "beer in") to the John Guest shut-off valve.
Finally, you will simply need to connect the 5/16" tube to 3/8" smooth tail reducer to the valve.

You will then simply need to connect the filler to CO2 and the fermenter with the supplied 5/16" tubing to proceed with your counter-pressure bottling. Feel free to consult our article on the subject.
