Description
Pediococcus and Lactobacillus are organisms potentially responsible for bacterial contamination in beer.
Lacticide works by degrading the cell wall of these bacteria, offering an alternative to pasteurization or microfiltration.
Lacticide is a lysozyme-based enzyme, an endo-glucanase specific to Gram+ bacteria (Leuconostoc, Lactobacillus, and Pediococcus) extracted from chicken egg white (E1105). Its use inhibits the activity of lactic acid bacteria and has no impact on yeast.

Usage and Recommended Dosage:
Dissolve Lacticide in approximately 10 times its weight in cold water and add to the beer at the end of fermentation or just before bottling.
- - Preventive dosage: 0.5 to 4g/hL
- - Curative dosage: up to 20g/hL depending on bacterial load
Note: Lacticide is specific to lactic acid bacteria and Pediococcus; it has no effect on acetic bacteria.
