When using this product to measure temperature, consider the ratio between the distance (the length between the device and the measured object) and the size of the measurement area, known as the distance‑to‑spot ratio. As the distance increases, the measured area widens.

If you use boiling water to test the device, ensure that steam or vapor does not touch the sensing area, and keep a measurement angle of 45 to 60 degrees.
