Description
The kveik from Eitrheim gives an incredible taste of ripe pear, plum, raisin, prune, and honey. This strain is very versatile, but it will shine the most in stouts and barley wines! Its aromas of yellow fruits and dried fruits enhance malty flavors.
The fruity intensity will be moderately high at elevated fermentation temperatures, and at lower temperatures, it will be less intense.
The higher the chosen temperature range, the faster the fermentation. At 42°C it can ferment in 48 hours.
This strain is certified organic. The 300g Kveik Yeastery sachets are resealable, which is ideal for storage if you do not use the entire sachet at once.

The history of Kveik Eitrheim K.14
The Kveik Eitrheim strain comes from the Eitrheim farm in Tokheim, Norway. Tokheim lies near Odda, in the heart of the Hardangerfjord and next to Folgefonna National Park.
As is customary in the Norwegian farming tradition, the stock has been passed down for generations. And Reidar (the current owner) inherited it from his grandfather.
