Stainless steel must cooler with 20 plates

With its 20 plates, this exchanger can cool 30 liters of wort down to 20°C in just 10-15 minutes*! The unit works by gravitation, so there's no need for a pump. Protein precipitation is not interrupted, and rapid cooling reduces the risk of infection. Easy to use and clean. Moderate water consumption.

• 20 stainless steel cooling plates, cooling surface: 0.46 m².
• Connections: 3/4" BSP male water side; 1/2" BSP male wort side
• Complete with 2 stainless-steel quick-disconnect hose fittings with 13 mm ferrules for wort and Gardena-style 2" stainless-steel fittings for cooling water
• Brewing with pure copper in an oxygen-free furnace

Hoses not included. Hose suitable for hot wort is silicone. For cold water, you can use PVC tubing.

Tips:

• Use the Brewferm plate wort cooler in an upright position, with the wort inlet underneath to prevent air from being trapped in the heat exchanger.
• Thoroughly backwash the Brewferm plate wort cooler with Chemipro CIP for 10 minutes before and after use.
• Do not cover the connections when storing the plate cooler.
• Re-circulating the boiling wort for 10 minutes without cooling water also disinfects the plate wort cooler, eliminating the risk of infection.
• The outlet temperature of the cooling water must be warm. If the flowing water is still cold, the cooling water flow rate is too high.
• If the wort outlet temperature is too high, either reduce the wort flow rate or increase the cooling water flow rate.
