This male–female adapter is a very practical accessory that allows you to easily connect a 1/4" (6.35 mm) tube to your household water supply. This makes it simple to feed a filtration system, a reverse osmosis (RO) unit, or even to connect mains water to a carbonation keg lid.

Most under‑sink water supplies, as well as many other water points in the home, use a 1/2" male thread. This adapter, designed as male–female, installs by simply unscrewing your supply valve and screwing this adapter in its place. You can then run a 1/4" tube from the side outlet of the valve.
