Propylène Glycol 5L

This food-grade glycol is used as a heat transfer liquid in beer dispensing systems and tempered chillers.

A mixture of glycol and water allows the cooling fluid to go below zero, providing icy cold beer and a frosty font. Glycol mixes are also used in double-walled stainless steel conical fermenters.

Propylene Glycol (PG) USP is a pharmaceutical grade of Mono‑Propylene Glycol (PG or MPG) with a specified purity greater than 99.9%.

Undiluted, its freezing point is -50°C. Propylene glycol can be diluted with water:

- 50% propylene glycol: freezing point: -35°C
- 40% propylene glycol: freezing point: -22°C
- 30% propylene glycol: freezing point: -13°C
- 20% propylene glycol: freezing point: -8°C
