Why the Ferminator Will Change Your Fermentation?

When it comes to controlling fermentation temperature, not all of us are on the same playing field... Ink Bird + heating pad, makeshift fridge, 0 control/free party...

Yet, fermentation temperature is one of the key elements for brewing a successful beer.

  • - Too low temperature = dormancy of yeasts, fermentation may not start, may be slowed down, or may not finish
  • - Too high temperature = uncontrolled ester production and significant risk of off-flavors...

fermentation temperature

A story that has happened to all of us:

On brewing day, everything goes well. You have carefully selected your ingredients, the recipe is on point, your fermenter is shiny and clean. No trouble in sight...

However, when primary fermentation starts, there it is... A totally UNCONTROLLABLE burst of heat. The yeasts panic, they work under stress, the temperature exceeds 25°C or even 26°C!

The activity in the airlock stops and the beer drops back down to 20°C. Impossible to go back up. So, after a few weeks, you decide to bottle...

However, beyond a strong presence of invasive and unwanted esters, the infamous gush occurs upon opening... Having not been able to increase the temperature, the fermentation did not finish and the sugar added during bottling created overcarbonation!

An entire batch down the drain because of a completely underestimated fermentation temperature...

Many of us have been there. For a lot of us, it was the starting point for temperature control.

The most common solution is the second-hand fridge rigged as a fermentation chamber. However, this is not always a good option...

A fridge:

  • - Consumes a lot of energy
  • - Is not precise with temperature fluctuations
  • - Takes up a lot of space and cannot be placed just anywhere
  • - Is very heavy, and when you live upstairs without an elevator, thank you for the trip...

This is where the Ferminator Connect comes into play

The Ferminator was designed for beer. It is therefore suitable and ultra-precise.

Very compact and light (+/-10kg), you can place it in the room of your choice, even if your space is limited. It is modular, which means you can easily expand it to accommodate fermenters from 30 to 55L. Extremely easy to use, you can control it via the mobile app, or directly from the control unit.

Expand the Ferminator...

How so?!

Yes, the Ferminator is a modular fermentation chamber... Its width will remain the same, but its extension modules will allow you to increase its height.

If the Ferminator initially allows for a 30L fermentation bucket, its extension modules will enable you to do pressure fermentation with a Fermzilla 55L, for example. You can even store several soda kegs. In fact, the modules simply slot in under the control unit, no DIY will be necessary.

Choose 1, 2, or 3 modules!
