Description
Syzygium aromaticum L.
Cloves are the dried flower buds of the clove tree. Cloves taste characteristically intense and pungent, but also have sweet flavour and smell. Cloves are added whole and, as they can soon overpower the flavour of a brew, it is recommended that a very small dose (1 clove per 20 litre brew) is added at the end of the boil.
