Malt Pale Chocolate

Discover this delicious, lightly roasted specialty malt (approx. 650 EBC). Pale Chocolate Malt bridges the gap between Brown Malt and Carafa I. It lends the beer its sweet cocoa and hazelnut notes. It will also bring a certain subtlety, both in color and aroma, to your palette of roasted malts.

It can be used at up to 10% and will blend perfectly with dark, powerful styles such as stouts, winter ale, dark mild... It would also be an excellent choice as the only dark malt in a dark brown ale, for example, where the choco/hazelnut character is more sought-after than the deep roasted side.
