Instructions for use of Desanamax:

You can use Desanamax regularly (1 to 4 times a month).

Although the product is not corrosive, we recommend wearing gloves when handling it.

Dosage: 1 sachet of 45g for 4.5L of water.

Step 1: Pre-rinse

Before cleaning, thoroughly pre-rinse your system: cleaning keg (sodakeg, special keg or oxebar), line, taps...

Step 2: Dissolve Desanamax and take a sample

Pour the sachet of Desanamax into your cleaning keg and fill it with 4.5L of warm water (ideally 35°C). The filling jet should be enough to dissolve the detergent. If needed, you can double the dose of Desanamax and water.

Close the keg and shake it vigorously 3 times. Then, take a small sample of the solution which should be purple. It will serve as a color reference to indicate whether the cleaning is complete or if it needs to be prolonged.

Step 3: Fill the line

Clean and rinse your dispensing head (or the connectors you use to connect the keg to the tap) in advance. Connect your cleaning keg to the CO2 and the tap, turn it on and open the taps.

Once the cleaning solution comes out of the tap, close it and let Desanamax act for 20 minutes.

The liquid will be yellow if your line is very dirty or green if it is only slightly dirty.

Step 4: Disinfect the dispensing head or connectors

While Desanamax is working in the lines, disconnect your CO2, depressurize the cleaning keg and open it. Immerse your dispensing head or connectors in the solution and wait for 20 minutes to elapse.

Step 5: Open the tap and check the color of the solution

Reconnect the cleaning keg to the dispensing head and CO2. Open the tap to let the solution flow. If it turns or remains green, then close the tap and let it act for another 3 minutes.

Repeat the operation until the solution turns purple (like your color reference sample).

Once done, let Desanamax flow until the keg is empty.

Step 6: Rinsing

Disconnect your cleaning keg and rinse it thoroughly. To check that it is well rinsed, you can do a pH test with a simple strip. The pH should be equal to tap water.

Once the keg is rinsed, fill it and reconnect it to the tap.

Open the tap and let it flow until the keg is empty. For the last few centiliters, you can do a pH test to check that the water coming out of your line has a pH equal to tap water.

And if the solution does not turn purple?

Don't worry, it means that your tap is very dirty, even contaminated. If this is the case, you will need to move to a higher detergent level with DESANACID.
