Low colour Maris Otter
Like standard maris otter, low color maris otter is a 100% usable base malt. Less pronounced in color and flavor than its big brother, it has a rather similar aromatic profile. This typically English malt brings sweet malty notes with a touch of bread, cookie and discreet toffee.
The very low boiling point of low color maris otter preserves all the enzymes in the malt, enabling optimum conversion of starch to sugar, and increasing overall extraction efficiency during brewing.
This is a very versatile malt, suitable for both lighter styles and darker beers requiring a boost in enzyme activity.
