Organic Mistral Hops:
Mistral organic hops, primarily aromatic, were developed in Alsace by the Comptoir Agricole. They come from a cross between Strisselspalt (FR) and Cascade (USA). This hop gives beer a refreshing and elegant character thanks to its notes of white fruits and floral touches, including rose and jasmine. It can also be used as a bittering hop in beers where a delicate bitterness is desired.
Mistral hops deliver a smooth bitterness and aromas of melon, pear, citrus and grape. When used in dry hopping, it expresses its full aromatic richness. It is frequently used for American-style beers such as IPAs, Pale Ales and Pilsners, but can also be suitable for Belgian-style beers such as Saisons.
