A historic hop of the American craft beer movement, Columbus (a descendant of Nugget) was the first variety nicknamed “Super Alpha” due to its high Alpha acid content.

Also known as “CTZ” (Columbus/Tomahawk/Zeus – a trio grouping similar hop varieties), Columbus is primarily used as a bittering hop.

However, its aromatic profile—citrus, spices, and earthy notes—also makes it suitable as an aroma hop.

The 5kg format is perfect for brewpubs and small breweries.
