Developed by Yakima Chief Ranches and released in 2000, Simcoe (formerly YCR 14) is known for its brewing versatility and unique aromatic characteristics. You will find strong aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit, backed by a mix of berries and resinous pine notes.

It continues to rise in popularity, becoming one of the top ten varieties in the craft and home brewing industries.

Its composition makes it ideal for use at the end of the boil, in Whirlpool, and in Dry Hop (especially in primary fermentation).
