Centennial Yakima Chief Hops:
Centennial is one of the cornerstones of the American craft beer movement. Developed in 1974 and released by Washington State University in 1990, Centennial is an aromatic cultivar that has become one of the most popular varieties in the craft beer scene.
Often nicknamed "Super-Cascade" (due to its nearly double alpha content), it can also be used as a bittering hop. Centennial is a diploid cross between Brewer's Gold and a USDA male.
Yakima Chief Hops Centennial is described as lemony and spicy with very delicate floral and herbal notes.
Its composition makes it ideal for use at the end of the boil, in Whirlpool, and for primary fermentation Dry Hopping.
The 1kg format is perfect for the brewing room sizes of brewpubs.
