Simcoe Hops:

Simcoe hops is a versatile variety originating from the United States. It was developed by Yakima Chief Ranches in 2000. With a high alpha acid percentage and low cohumulone, it serves as an excellent base for bitterness. However, it truly shines in its aromatic qualities.

The composition of Simcoe hops imparts specific aromas of grapefruit, passion fruit, pine, and berries to beer. During dry hopping, Simcoe hops predominantly contribute tropical fruit notes. Its optimal use is in late boil additions, whirlpool, and primary fermentation hopping.

It is commonly used in American-style beers, including various forms of IPAs and pale ales.
