The Tradition hops is an aromatic variety from the Hallertau family that originates from Germany. It was specifically developed for resistance to fungi and diseases, and also presents higher alpha acids than its parent varieties, low cohumulone, and higher myrcene. It has been marketed since 1989.
The Tradition hops imparts an earthy, herbaceous character and nectar fruit (apricot, apple, pear). It will express its full potential at the end of boiling, Whirlpool or even in dry hop.
It is frequently used for Lager, Pilsner, and Wheat style beers.
