User Guide for MKII 10L Cleaning Keg - 2 Heads

Upon receiving your keg, start by washing it with Enzybrew. You can then use it to clean your beer lines.

We recommend using specific products for line sanitation. "Desana" products are ideal (Desanamax FP for regular cleaning, Desanacid for descaling, and Desanamax CL for intensive cleaning).

Dosage: Add 2 sachets of "Desana" (any type) to 10 liters of water.

Step 1: Pre-Rinse

Before cleaning, perform a thorough pre-rinse of your beer dispensing system.

Fill the cleaning keg with clean water, close it, then connect it to your system using extraction tubes attached to the keg heads. Connect the CO2 and let water flow through the taps of your dispensers or lines.

Step 2: Dissolve Detergent and Take a Sample

Add the chosen "Desana" sachets to the cleaning keg and fill it with 10 liters of warm water (around 35°C). The water jet should easily dissolve the product.

Close the keg, shake it vigorously three times, and then take a sample of the solution. It should be purple, indicating that the product is ready to use.

Step 3: Fill the Lines

Clean and rinse your dispensing heads. Connect the cleaning keg to the CO2 and the system, open the taps, and let the solution flow.

Once the cleaning solution starts flowing out of the taps, close them and let the "Desana" act for 20 minutes. The solution will turn yellow if the lines are very dirty, or green if they are only slightly dirty.

Step 4: Disinfect the Connectors and Dispensing Heads

While the "Desana" works in the lines, disconnect the CO2, depressurize the keg, and open it. Immerse your connectors and/or dispensing heads in the solution for 20 minutes.

Step 5: Check the Solution's Color

Reconnect the cleaning keg to the dispensing heads and CO2. Open the taps to allow the solution to flow. If it remains or turns green, close the taps and let it act for an additional 3 minutes.

Repeat this process until the solution turns purple, matching your sample. Then, let the solution run until the keg is empty.

Step 6: Rinse

Disconnect the keg and rinse it thoroughly. To ensure it is fully rinsed, use a pH test strip: the pH should match that of tap water.

Once the keg is rinsed, fill it and reconnect it to the dispensing system. Open the taps and let the water flow until the keg is empty. Perform a pH test on the last few centiliters to ensure the water's pH matches that of tap water.
