Description
The Organic Chocolate Malt, comparable to Carafa® I by Weyermann, is carefully roasted to reveal a unique palette of flavors and colors. It gives beer an intense coffee-brown hue, ranging from 800 to 1000 EBC, along with deep aromas of dark chocolate and cocoa. This malt also helps enhance the texture and body of the beer.
Perfect for dark beers that highlight smooth roasted flavors, it offers a roasting profile that is both pronounced and subtle, accompanied by refined nuances. When used in small amounts, it acts as a powerful coloring agent, enhancing dark chocolate notes. As its proportion increases, the flavors evolve toward coffee or toasted bread accents.
With a recommended usage rate of 5% maximum, this malt can be used alone to achieve delicate cocoa notes or combined with other malts to balance roasted flavors and create a customized aromatic profile.
