Description
Beyond a cereal-based flavor complexity, rye flakes will add a pleasant dry texture to the beer. Unlike other flakes, rye does not contribute to foam retention. However, it provides a beautiful golden hue. Additionally, by lightening the body of the beer, rye flakes enhance drinkability.
When combined with barley or wheat malts, rye flakes can be used up to 25%.
