Description
SPECTRUM is an innovative and efficient liquid hop extract. No oxidation, no Hop Creep, no beer loss, and outstanding storage stability.
Fully soluble, it accurately delivers the aromatic profiles characteristic of its original hop variety.
Made from 100% hops, without solvents or artificial additives, it serves as a valuable alternative to T90 pellets:
- 1 kg of Spectrum equals 5 to 8 kg of pellets.
Free from vegetal matter, Spectrum leaves no solid residue in the fermenter — which significantly reduces cleaning tasks.
Its formula ensures optimal aroma stability: glycosidic fractions are fully preserved, encouraging biotransformation reactions expected during dry hopping.
Its ideal usage is during Dry Hop, in secondary fermentation.
Note: the 1 kg format is resealable, making it perfect for extended storage.

Spectrum Mosaic
Created by the Hop Breeding Company, Mosaic hops have become the ultimate IPA reference since 2012.
The Spectrum Mosaic version reveals a rich and nuanced aroma profile that pairs beautifully with a wide range of beer styles.
It originates from a cross between Simcoe® and a male derived from Nugget, giving it a unique genetic lineage.
The name Mosaic® reflects the artistic blend of its many aromas and flavors: a bouquet of tropical, resinous, citrus, herbal, earthy, and floral notes.

Spectrum: The Dry Hop Revolution
Capture all alpha acids and aromatic compounds from hops without vegetal matter. Maximum efficiency and guaranteed yield…
SPECTRUM offers many advantages over cones and hop pellets.
Fully soluble at fermentation temperature, you’ll lose no beer and spend less time cleaning.
SPECTRUM can replace cones and pellets entirely or partially during Dry Hop.
Using Spectrum:

1kg of Spectrum = between 5 and 8kg of pellets.
You can absolutely use Spectrum at 100%.
However, if you're repeating well-calibrated recipes, Barth Haas recommends testing and using 20% to 50% of your Dry Hop with standard hops, based on the conversion ratio above.
You can gradually transition to full Spectrum usage.
As shown in the chart above, the optimal time to use Spectrum is during secondary fermentation. The earlier it’s added, the higher the dosage required and the fruitier the result. The later it’s added, the lower the dosage and the “green” hop notes will be more pronounced.
Note: This product is specifically intended for Dry Hop. Spectrum doesn’t contain iso-alpha acids, but it does contain non-isomerized alpha acids which, in high doses at the end of boil or in the whirlpool, can increase bitterness — especially in hazy beers where that may not be desired.
Storage:
Barth Haas recommends storing the product between 2°C and 15°C. A dedicated fridge is ideal.
The 1kg format is resealable; it’s advised to purge headspace before sealing.
The manufacturer recommends using the product within one year from its production date (marked on the pouch).
Additional Benefits of Spectrum:
Brewery tests have shown a drastically reduced risk of Hop Creep compared to using T90 pellets. This is due to the absence of enzymes that restart fermentation.
No solid matter means far fewer residues on fermenter walls. You’ll use less product and spend less time cleaning your equipment.
Lastly, Spectrum also reduces oxidation risks in heavily hopped beers.
Unlike pellets and cones, this product leaves no room for oxygen. Spectrum ensures precise Dry Hop dosing without oxygen exposure.

Testimonials:
“SPECTRUM helped us increase our dry hop inclusion rates while minimizing beer loss during the process. This combination allows us to produce world-class beers with world-class brewing efficiency.” — Ross Koenigs / New Belgium Brewing
“We observed lower and more consistent beer losses on the batches where we tested it. We’re very impressed by the aroma profile Spectrum provides. We used it for up to 50% of the dry hop in one of our beers, significantly reducing tank time thanks to decreased hop creep and lower levels of VDK (Vicinal Diketones).” — SOPHIE DE RONDE / Burnt Mill Brewery
