The Tettnang is a noble and aromatic hop variety originating from Germany. It is genetically similar to Saaz.
The Tettnang hop has a notably high farnesene content, which gives it a gentle spicy side and a subtle, balanced, floral and herbal aroma. It is often used for European-style beers, such as lagers and pilsners.
It is also used in wheat beers, Bavarian Hefeweizens, blonde beers, American amber beers, winter beers, pale ales, cream ales, and American lagers.
