Polaris Hops:

Polaris is a hop variety developed by the Hop Research Center in Hüll.

It stands out due to its exceptionally high concentrations of alpha acids and essential oils, making it a unique aroma hop. Approved in 2012, it was introduced as a special variety.

With an average alpha acid content of up to 20%, Polaris excels in bitterness contribution and is frequently added at the beginning of the boil.

However, its aromas evoke banana, mint, and pear drop candy, offering fresh and fruity notes. For this reason, many brewers also choose to incorporate it at the end of the brewing process or for dry hopping.

The 1kg format is ideal for brewpub brewhouses.
