Nugget's super alpha acid content, low percentage of beta and cohumulone give it an excellent bitterness, much appreciated in IPAs, Imperials and other super-hopped brews.

Its high myrcene content also gives it a green, grassy aroma.

The daughter of Brewer's Gold and mother of Millennium, Nugget's popularity grew rapidly. Released in 1983, it produced 14% of the hops in the Pacific Northwest in 1987.
