Premiant is a hop variety that was created by crossing bittering varieties with Czech aroma varieties. That is why it is known as a dual purpose variety.

Its aroma profile is not as strong as that of other Czech varieties. This variety has become popular and has earned its place in beer production without an overpowering hop aroma. The exceptionally low cohumulone content, combined with other typical characteristics of this variety, contributes to the neutral bitterness.

There is no recognizable unpleasant bitterness after consumption. It is well known that this negative effect of a strong unpleasant bitterness discourages consumers from drinking other beers.
