Description
Pure Water for Perfect Brewing
Gain complete control over your brewing water with this 3-stage reverse osmosis system. By removing nearly all minerals, it provides a pure water base, allowing you to precisely customise your water profile.
A balanced mineral composition enhances hop expression, malt character, and mouthfeel. It ensures optimal flavour and consistency in every batch. Using high-quality, tailored water is essential for brewing exceptional beer.
- Create pure water, free from minerals, allowing precise water chemistry control for different beer styles.
- Removes chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, heavy metals, and dissolved solids, ensuring cleaner and better-tasting beer.
- Eliminates tap water variations, providing stable and repeatable brewing results.
- Operates efficiently from 2.1 bar, producing approximately 12 litres per hour at 3 bar, with a 93% filtration efficiency.
- Easy maintenance: Annual filter replacements maintain high performance, while the membrane lasts up to three years.
And to ensure the purity of your water after it has passed through the reverse osmosis system, measure the solid mineral residues using the TDS Meter.

Reverse Osmosis System – 3-Stage Filtration for Brewing Water
Since beer consists of 90-95% water, using high-quality water is crucial for brewing.
While good-tasting water can produce good beer, the mineral content in water significantly impacts bitterness perception, malt character, and mouthfeel.
With this 3-stage reverse osmosis system, you can create pure water, providing a blank canvas free from nearly all minerals. This allows you to customise your brewing water by adding specific minerals to match different beer styles.
Why Use Reverse Osmosis for Brewing?
- Customisable Water Profiles – Starting with purified water allows precise control over mineral content.
- Improved Beer Consistency – Eliminates fluctuations in tap water quality for reliable results.
- Removal of Contaminants – Filters out chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, heavy metals, and dissolved solids that can negatively affect beer flavour.
- Better Hop and Malt Expression – Adjust water chemistry to enhance hop bitterness or malt richness, depending on the beer style.
Optimise Your Brewing Water with Reverse Osmosis
Reset your water profile and create a custom water recipe tailored to your beer style. This reverse osmosis system efficiently removes calcium carbonate (lime), chlorine, and other unwanted elements at 2.1 bar pressure, eliminating the need for a booster pump.
This minimum pressure is below the standard distribution range in France, which typically falls between 2.75 and 4 bar.
The system operates efficiently from 2.1 bar, but at 3 bar and 12°C, it produces approximately 12 litres per hour with a 93% filtration efficiency. Performance improves after 30 minutes of use, as the membrane requires initial hydration.
3-Stage Reverse Osmosis System Includes:
- - Tap adapter
- - Inline sediment filter (5µm)
- - Inline carbon filter (5µm)
- - 75 GPD ULP (Ultra Low Pressure) RO membrane
- - Membrane housing
- - 5 angled fittings (including 1 extra)
- - 1 straight fitting
- - 3 meters of 1/4″ tubing (1 meter each in white, red, and blue)
- - 450ml flow restrictor
- - 4 clips for securing the thick membrane housing and filters
Maintenance & Filter Replacement
- - Wastewater Ratio: Approximately 1:2 (clean water to wastewater) during operation.
- - Annual Filter Replacement: To maintain efficiency, replace the sediment and carbon filters annually.
- - Membrane Replacement: Every 3 years (or sooner if filtration performance decreases).
- - By incorporating a reverse osmosis system into your homebrewing setup, you gain precise control over your water chemistry, ensuring optimal conditions for every batch of beer.
