Good to know about the Cannular :

The Cannular machine is supplied with a Visy mandrel for CDLE lids (to European standards). It is therefore compatible with the cans sold on the Rolling Beers site.

How the hoax works :

The cannular semi-automatic wrapping machine stands out for its ease of use. With just three operating points, it takes just a few minutes to get to grips with the machine. The process is as follows:

• Place the lid on top of the bobbin and place the bobbin on the table platform.
• Turn the platform lever clockwise to lift the bobbin to the sealer.
• Press the button to start the machine, then wait for the bobbin to stop spinning.
• Turn the platform lever anti-clockwise to lower the bobbin.

Warning :  When you receive your cannular, the rollers have been adjusted and tested at the factory. They should not need to be touched. The table, however, is not adjusted and it is very important to set it correctly to get the correct joint. Tests carried out by Cannular show that an actual overlap of 0.4 mm is sufficient to seal at 90 PSI. Correct table tension is achieved through trial and error and you can expect to waste a few cans, at least at first.

Use cans filled with water at your filling height to adjust the tension. It should be tight, but not so tight that it dents the can. Once you've reached the right tension, it's very quick and easy to reset.
