Soda Keg 9.5L
The Soda Keg 9.5L AEB is an essential piece of equipment for brewers who want to serve their beer on tap easily. Equipped with a depressurization valve, it allows you to control the final residual pressure, especially during forced carbonation. It can also be used for fermentation. The Soda Keg AEB 9.5L are sold passivated, giving them a matte finish and increased protection against corrosion.
The connections are made by the traditional gas and beer ball-locks, making handling extremely simple and intuitive. Putting your beer in a keg has never been easier. Our Soda Keg 9.5L is sold complete with the lid, dip tubes, and male connectors.
These soda kegs are supplied by AEB, a European producer with over 30 years of experience in keg manufacturing. These barrels are designed with durability in mind: they are 100% recyclable kegs.
All AEB kegs are passivated to make the steel resistant to corrosion and chemical attacks. They are inspected, cleaned, and pressure tested at 130 PSI/9.1 bar at every stage of production. Each keg has a unique serial number and remains traceable in every detail throughout production.

How to fill a Soda Keg 9.5L?
To fill your Soda Keg 9.5L, start by disinfecting and cleaning the keg. Then pour your beer through the opening on the top. Once the beer is poured into the keg, close it, perform carbonation, and connect it to your beer dispensing system. Make sure the keg is well sealed to avoid any gas or beer leaks.
What are the advantages of a Soda Keg 9.5L?
The Soda Keg AEB 9.5L offers many advantages. It is easy to use, robust, and guarantees high-quality beer. Moreover, it is economical and environmentally friendly as it is infinitely reusable (provided it is properly cleaned).
The Soda Keg also avoids bottling. It requires only one conditioning operation and can be connected directly to the tap. Additionally, it is not necessary to add sugar for carbonation. A simple connection to a CO2 bottle is sufficient.
What if I want to carbonate with sugar?
No problem! However, you need to underdose compared to bottles. With a soda keg, to ensure smooth tapping, it is recommended not to exceed 4g/l of sugar.
How to clean a Soda Keg AEB 9.5L?
The Soda Keg AEB 9.5L we offer are made with a robotic orbital welding machine, which reduces weld marks and simplifies cleaning.
After fermentation (or before first use), it is advisable to wash the keg with hot water, a sponge, and neutral dish soap. To do this, fill the Soda Keg halfway, scrub, close everything, and shake. It will then be necessary to unscrew the fittings to clean them.
After careful rinsing, fill the keg halfway with hot water and oxybrew (or star san), close and shake vigorously. It is then possible to connect a CO2 bottle with slight pressure to expel all the cleaner through the beer outlet (for this, you will need to connect a tap via the Ball-Lock). This will also clean the inside of the rod present at the beer outlet.
You can also use a FastWasher Rack.
Is it possible to ferment under pressure with a Soda Keg 9.5L?
Yes, fermentation under pressure with a Soda Keg is entirely possible. This technique is even recommended for certain beers, as it reduces fermentation time and improves beer quality. To learn more about pressure fermentation, feel free to check out the tips available in this article.
After pressure fermentation, to fill the soda keg, we suggest performing a pressure transfer using ball lock connectors and a CO2 bottle.
