Traditional analogue gauges use a capillary mechanism in which a small tube expands under pressure, activating a gear that turns the needle. This age-old method remains effective, especially in larger models. However, when attempting to miniaturize this system, a compromise between accuracy and size becomes inevitable. With very compact models like the 27 x 27 mm mini gauge, it is difficult to achieve accuracy better than 10% due to physical limitations of the mechanical components.

KegLand has therefore developed the world's smallest compact digital gauge with backlighting. This ultra-compact design offers high precision while maintaining the small form factor required by mini-keg systems, mini regulators, and other compact dispensing setups.
