The YellowPill "RAPT" pill is a hydrometer that constantly monitors the specific gravity (and temperature) of your brew thanks to the RAPT wifi/Bluetooth mobile app or RAPT IoT.

Precisely control and monitor the progress of your fermentation throughout the process. Simply place the RAPT at the time of inoculation and that's it! You just need to connect to see the beautiful progress curves.

RAPT is compatible with most standard carboys and pressurizable fermenters. However, be careful with stainless steel fermenters and kegs. This material tends to block WI-FI waves. Although the incompatibility is not total either. Moreover, the new pressurizable stainless steel Conicus fermenter has a sight glass that makes this type of connected hydrometer fully compatible.

You can read and instantly record the specific gravity and temperature of your fermentation via the RAPT mobile app on your compatible Android smartphone or tablet, your Apple iPhone/iPad, or via the RAPT IoT hub on your Windows or Mac computer.

Made from solid, BPA-free nylon 12 and polyoxymethylene (POK):

The transparent plastics in nylon 12 and polyoxymethylene are food-grade, FDA-approved, and free from BPA (and other types of bisphenol). They are also free from plasticizers and phthalates. They do not contain endocrine disruptors either, making them a much better choice than polycarbonate used in other products. Nylon 12 and POK are also resistant to high temperatures, chemicals, and extremely robust.

Better Ergonomics

The shape of the RAPT pill has been designed for greater ease of use compared to other wireless hydrometers. Thus, the pill separates into two parts at the midline of the pill rather than requiring the unscrewing of a difficult-to-remove cap.

Hygienic Design:

The RAPT pill has no visible threading and is equipped with a double O-ring that ensures sealing and reduces the risk of infection.

Less Risk of Error

The RAPT pill case is larger than other wireless hydrometers. This means that the recording is less likely to be distorted by krausen, hops, or CO2 bubbles from fermentation.

Battery Life

The RAPT Pill battery has a long life and can last from 2 to 5 months between charges when using Wifi. If it only uses Bluetooth, the battery can last more than two years before needing to be recharged. The RAPT pill has a USB-C charging port on the circuit board, allowing for quick recharging from any USB-C cable.

What is the battery life of the pill between charges?

- Telemetry frequency of 60 minutes: 1.5 years
- Telemetry frequency of 30 minutes: 9.5 months
- Telemetry frequency of 15 minutes: 5 months

Note: This is the default telemetry frequency, which is 60 min. So if you do not change the settings, the battery should last about 1.5 years.
