This wax, specially designed for oak barrels, is ideal for sealing leaks that cannot be stopped by the natural swelling of the wood.

If you did not purchase your oak barrel from Rolling Beers, it is possible that your barrel was not previously waxed by the manufacturer, probably due to preference. Indeed, barrels called "raw", meaning sold untreated, offer an intense woody flavor, but to such an extent that it becomes difficult to control. It usually takes several years to achieve the right balance. Additionally, an untreated and unwaxed barrel significantly increases the risk of leaks caused by the natural swelling of the wood.

On the other hand, wax-sealed barrels limit woodiness and provide much better control over the flavor of your drink. This is why, today, the popularity and demand for treated barrels continues to grow.

It is therefore essential to take special care of your beloved little oak barrel!

Wax block dimensions: 40 mm x 40 mm x 22 mm
This product is generally sufficient to seal between one and three barrels, depending on the level of leakage.
