This long-distance pump comes complete with a stepped barb 9.5 mm / 12.7 mm for the air/gas inlet.

For economical operation, this pump should be powered by an oil-free air compressor. You can also run this pump with CO₂, nitrogen, or other compressed gas cylinders.

The Flojet G56 is a pump commonly used in the beverage industry to transfer beer from keg to tap. Historically, dispensing kegs over long distances required high pressure from your CO₂/nitrogen cylinder to push the beverage a long way. This resulted in high gas consumption, costly large-diameter hosing, and significant beer wastage.

With this pump model, you can now use an air compressor to generate higher hydraulic pressures in the beverage line, without wasting CO₂/nitrogen, while allowing the use of smaller beer line diameters, thus reducing losses.

This type of beer pump is considered essential for any long-draw system, stadiums, or situations where beverages need to be delivered up to 10 stories high in a building.

The increased pressure in the beverage line also prevents dissolved gas in the beer from escaping at the tap, avoiding excessive foaming.

This type of pump is ideally used in combination with a FOB (Foam On Beer detector).
