Description
This steam lid for the Brewtools B40, B80 and B150 Pro tank will allow you to save energy and spare you from opening a steam room instead of your brewing room.
Brewtools, a Norwegian manufacturer, has thought of its brewers who operate in the cold. But Scandinavia is not the only region where freezing temperatures disrupt the brewing process. Here too, in the heart of winter or in the mountains, our tanks can have trouble heating up and retaining heat.
This is where this lid will be very useful. With it, no more heat loss, no more endless heating to reach a barely simmering boil. A heating power of 65% will be enough to achieve a vigorous boil. It will therefore allow for significant energy savings.

What about DMS?
If you are an experienced brewer, you know that it is highly discouraged to use a lid during boiling. We don't want the cooked cabbage taste of DMS, and lids do not allow their evacuation by steam.
Rest assured, the top opening of the Brewtools steam lid will be more than sufficient to evacuate the DMS.
Moreover, if you want no steam in your brewing room, you can attach the Brewtools steam condenser to this lid. All the steam will be evacuated into this condenser, then, operating with cold water, it will cool this steam to eliminate it in liquid form.
Can we add hops without removing the lid?
Yes, absolutely, a special hatch is made for that, you will not need to remove the lid and therefore will not lose any heat. This accessory is one of the most practical from the manufacturer. In addition to being energy efficient, it will also be very easy to clean.
Cleaning the Brewtools steam lid
Easy to assemble and disassemble, you can simply remove it for hand cleaning.
But...
To save effort, you can also attach a CIP ball to the top 4" Tri Clamp port and let the pressure do the work!
The pro steam lids are designed to offer maximum flexibility.
Included with the lid:
- 1x silicone gasket on the edge
- 4x clamps to attach to your brewing system
- 1x 110 mm hole to add hops during boiling
- 2x silicone-covered handles
- 1x 4-inch accessory port on top
- 1x silicone plug
The clamp and gasket for the top port are not included.
