The 2026 World Cup is fast approaching. The group‑stage matches are about to begin and will come one after another. No homebrew ready for your friends? Don’t panic — the Oxebar has your back!

Combine the lightning‑fast speed of Kveik yeasts with forced carbonation in an Oxebar mini‑keg. With this combo, you can go from brew day to draft service in just 7 days.

It’s the perfect moment to brew our three World Cup recipes: the refreshing Halftime in Mexico, the explosive Counter- Attack or the smooth Kickoff in Vancouver.

The Oxebar Hack: How It Works

Why does it work?

  1. Flash fermentation (Days 1 to 6): Our three World Cup recipes use Kveik strains (Hornindal, Voss, Eitrheim). Fermented between 35 °C and 37 °C, they complete fermentation in under a week with zero off‑flavors.
  2. Forced carbonation (Days 6 to 7): Instead of waiting 3 weeks for bottle conditioning, you use pressurized CO₂ to instantly dissolve carbonation into cold beer. Depending on the mini‑keg size, this step may take up to 4 days.

Option A: You have a temperature‑controlled fridge?

If you’re lucky enough to have a dedicated brewing fridge (or cold chamber), this is the royal road.
After one week of fermentation, transfer your full 20‑liter batch into a 20 L Oxebar. Chill the keg, hook up the CO₂, and you’re done.

Option B: The DIY method (No equipment, kitchen fridge, Oxebar 4 or 8 L)

No temperature‑controlled fridge? Absolutely not a problem — this is where the hack becomes brilliant:

  • Leave your standard fermentation bucket at room temperature (Kveik loves summer heat).
  • After one week, simply transfer part of your beer (4 L or 8 L depending on fridge space) into a 4 L or 8 L Oxebar.
  • Slide the mini‑keg directly into your kitchen fridge, between the butter and the milk.
  • While you drink your first Oxebar during the matches, the rest of your beer waits patiently in the fermenter. Once the first keg is empty, refill it and repeat!

How to carbonate in just a few days

Once your Oxebar (4 L, 8 L, or 20 L) is filled and placed in the fridge (CO₂ dissolves far better in very cold beer!):

  1. Connect your SodaStream CO₂ bottle to the Oxebar.
  2. Set your regulator between 1.5 and 2 bar.
  3. Apply pressure once in the morning and once in the evening. Your beer will absorb CO₂ at lightning speed.
  4. After 3 to 4 days (sometimes less for the smaller 4 L format), your beer will be perfectly carbonated, ultra‑clear thanks to the cold, and ready to pour.
