WLP067 Coastal Haze

This blend of our favorite New England-style IPA strains is ideal for producing hazy beers with tropical and fruity esters. Producing dry but juicy beers, the mango and pineapple characteristics will contribute to better drinkability.

**This strain has been genetically typed in our laboratory using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Through this genetic test, we have determined that the WLP067 Coastal Haze Ale yeast blend contains the STA1 gene (glucoamylase), a potential indicator of Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. diastaticus. Beer yeasts are natural hybrids, allowing some strains to present elements of the STA1 gene. These strains have the ability to utilize certain dextrins (non-fermentable sugars), resulting in higher attenuation levels than what is considered typical.

• Flocculation: Medium to low
• Fermentation temperature: 20°-22°C

Yeast ready to use. A starter is still recommended if you use it two months after the manufacturing date (written on the package).
