TC1.5'' Safety Valve

€60.42
available

This 0-3 bar (0-43.5 PSI) safety valve will protect your fermenter from all the dangers of pressure.

Like a conventional valve, it will let excess pressure escape. It will stand out from other valves on the market by letting in air if the internal pressure becomes negative and creates a vacuum. This prevents the fermenter from imploding or collapsing in on itself.

Fits all pressurizable fermenters equipped with a 1.5” Tri-Clamp port.

The Safety Valve 2.0

Protect your stainless steel pressurizable fermenter from all the dangers of pressure!

Yes, fermentation under pressure has many advantages. We are convinced that it is the future of home brewing.

However, like anything related to pressure, the practice is not without danger. When working with pressurized gas, it is important to be very careful and take precautions.

A safety valve is therefore essential if the pressure rises too high. Its purpose will be to release the excess CO2 and you will not risk an explosion.

But there is another risk, a little less "spectacular" but just as detrimental.

A too sudden change in temperature (such as with a cold crash) can cause a drop in internal pressure and create a vacuum condition. In this case, the fermenter in which you have invested will collapse on itself and may even implode. It will become completely unusable.

This valve prevents this risk. Thanks to our friends at Brewolution, the valve detects negative pressure and, under this condition, will allow air to enter to make the creation of a vacuum impossible. This device protects 100% of the structure of your fermenter.

This balance of functions highlights the importance of this valve in maintaining optimal fermentation conditions, protecting the integrity of the fermenter, and ensuring a consistent and high-quality brewing process.

Operation of the valve:

This valve works in conjunction with a Tri-Clamp 1.5" pressure gauge. Therefore, your fermenter must be equipped with 2 Tri-Clamp 1.5" ports. If you have chosen the Conicus Pro, then you have no questions to ask.

Once these two elements are installed, the whole thing works like a spunding valve. You just need to screw or unscrew the top of the valve to set the desired pressure on the pressure gauge.

It's as simple as that. It will mainly function as a classic valve with the added safety of protecting your fermenter from potential negative pressure in case of mishandling or too sudden a change in temperature.
