Ss Brewtech All-in-one SVBS tank 45L

The SVBS is the result of combining Ss Brewtech's decades of brewing experience with their engineering know-how. It's a product that combines the best quality, value and performance in an all-in-one automatic brewing system.

SVBS mashing basket

The mashing basket features an ultra-precise screen produced by photochemical etching. It's a real technical feat. The holes in the sieve are much finer than those in conventional perforated steel, allowing the liquid to flow over almost the entire surface of the basket. This effectively solves the problem of slowing down or blocking the wort during mashing, without compromising efficiency.

SVBS halo elements (heating elements)

Ss Brewtech's halo elements, specially designed and used in their auto tanks, have established themselves as the benchmark for reliability and performance in home brewing. Thanks to their easy-to-clean design, even heat distribution and robust Incoloy 800 casing, these halo elements are the best choice for SVBS. As with the technologies employed in Ss Brewtech professional brewhouses, power is modulated by the fully modulating SSVR control system. This allows you to adjust mashing temperature or boiling intensity with the utmost flexibility.

Recirculation valve

During recirculation, the liquid is directed through a central stainless steel tube that distributes the wort evenly over the grain bed, creating a laminar flow. The ingenious, patent-pending connection between the central outlet and the mash basket ensures a perfect seal when the basket is in place, and automatically releases when the basket is lifted. The integrated recirculation circuit, coupled with the engraved mashing basket, achieves industry-leading mashing efficiencies.

Whirlpool valve

Whirlpooling is a common technique for collecting the lees from the wort before cooling. The SVBS's powerful pump circulates the wort through the inclined connection at the bottom of the tank, producing a vortex that causes the lees to fall to the center of the tank, away from the racking connection. What's more, the 360° engraved pump filter ring filters the filler connection to keep dregs and hops in the tank and virtually eliminate the risk of pump clogging.

3/4" TC connection valve

The final valve is the side-mounted 3/4" TC valve, through which the wort is fed to the fermenter. Together with the optional SVBS immersion cooler, the SVBS can deliver cooled wort to your fermenter, ready for fermentation. Of all the connections, the clean design of the Ss Pure Flow valve is the most important for this connection, especially if a cooling coil is used. It should also be noted that SVBS Pure Flow valves are made to use standard 3/8" silicone tubing, which is easily replaceable by the user. With the valves' clean design, there's no need to disassemble and clean the internal valve bodies by hand. A simple rinse with a standard brewery cleaning solution on each manifold leg is enough to keep all internal surfaces clean and ready for use. Cleaning is a breeze.

Precision control

The SVBS features a touch-sensitive control system with a display that can be moved away from the system for greater safety and comfort. It can also be easily disconnected from the tank for cleaning and storage. What's more, the screen controls all pump and heating element functions, making it easy to adjust flow and heat intuitively, without having to fiddle with different switches or buttons. We've also added a graphical function that shows a summary of your brew day, and allows the user to export a CSV file for those who want to analyze the finer details of time and temperature. Finally, we've made the controller so that it can be upgraded with software, enabling new features to be added.

Mashing and boiling functions

The Mashing function is a PID-based temperature control system. When the user starts brewing and selects the desired temperature for mashing, the controller quickly changes the element power and therefore the heating speed according to the temperature difference between the brewing water and the desired temperature for mashing. Highly precise, it is designed to achieve stable, regular and reproducible temperature targets. The mashing temperature is therefore exact and precise throughout a single-infusion mashing process. It can also be used for a multi-stage mashing process, where the user can change the target temperature during mashing and have a fast, precise heating rate to reach the new target temperature entered.
The Boiling function is a percentage-based control system that allows the user to adjust the power of the element for the perfect rolling boil depending on external conditions.
